Access

There are three ways to get to Karystos:

Driving through Chalkida. From Athens/airport, the journey takes three hours, maybe more, depending on the traffic.

From the port of Agia Marina (from Athens/airport the journey takes fifty minutes/one hour, maybe more, depending on the traffic). Ferry to the port of Nea Styra (journey takes 45 minutes). From the port of Rafina (from Athens/airport the journey takes forty minutes/one hour, maybe longer, depending on the traffic). Ferry to the port of Marmari (journey takes 60 minutes). Road from the port of Marmari to Karystos (the journey takes 10 minutes). In summer it is necessary to make a reservation on the ferry (to and from Rafina).
